Equal Parts

God is telling a story, the story of redemption in Jesus Christ. He’s his own audience; his story is for his glory. Humans here on earth get to play parts, and Christians get to explain the story to the powers in heavenly places.

 

There are many parts humans get to play, but God alone appoints and assigns them all, he determines the times and places we should live.

 

Many of us grumble at the parts we’re given, some even protest. We think we deserve better parts, or at least equal parts. But surely a story with equal parts would fall flat.
